Welcome to Lensfolio. These Terms govern your use of the Lensfolio website and application (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The most important thing: Lensfolio is a tracking and forecasting tool — not financial advice. Numbers shown are estimates based on the data you input and assumptions you choose. Past dividend payments do not guarantee future payments. Investment decisions are entirely your responsibility. If you need investment advice, talk to a licensed advisor.

1. Who we are

Lensfolio is operated as an independent project. Throughout these Terms, "Lensfolio", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Service. You can reach us at hello@lens-folio.com.

2. The Service

Lensfolio helps you track investment holdings, model recurring contributions, forecast dividend income, and visualize portfolio performance. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from bugs.

3. Not financial advice

Lensfolio does not provide investment, financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Forecasts, projections, and any other figures shown by the Service are estimates calculated from the data you provide and assumptions you select. Real-world investment outcomes will differ.

You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. You should consult a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before making investment, tax, or legal decisions.

4. Beta status

Lensfolio is currently in beta. That means:

Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice.
Bugs and downtime may occur.
Data loss is possible, even though we take reasonable steps to prevent it.
You should regularly export backups using the Export Backup feature in Settings.

5. Your account

To use most of the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for:

Keeping your password confidential and secure
All activity that occurs under your account
The accuracy of the data you enter
Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service in a way that exceeds normal personal use
Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
Upload malware or attempt to inject malicious code

7. Your data

You retain ownership of the portfolio data you enter into Lensfolio. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

8. Pricing and beta access

During the beta period, the Service is offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will notify users in advance and provide reasonable time to decide whether to continue. Any pricing or plan structure communicated as "founder access" will be honored as described at the time of sign-up.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if continued operation poses legal or security risk. You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@lens-folio.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-party services

Lensfolio relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, and optional market data. The Service depends on those providers being operational. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or data issues originating from third-party providers.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Lensfolio does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or that any data, forecasts, or projections will be reliable for any specific purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lensfolio and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, lost investment returns, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. In no event shall total liability exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lensfolio and its operator from any claim, demand, damage, or cost arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Lensfolio agree that any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

17. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lensfolio regarding the Service.
